Pensieve's Poetic License #10- Autumn Cinquain

This month's theme for PPL is Autumn, and the form is a Cinquain. You can get all the details at Pensieve's by clicking the button above. I just realized this morning it was TODAY so I quickly threw the following two together...one's much more "pleasant" than the other...

The first:

Death
barren, empty
Falling, dropping, flying
The leaves make their exit
Ending

And the nicer one:

Colors
Oranges, reds
Changing, coloring, enhancing
God paints us a beautiful picture
Autumn

Karina, you think the second one was nicer than the first? I think you did a fantastic job on both. They paint such a beautiful picture. I'm glad Robin chose Autumn as a theme. So many great ways to write about it. I guess I'll try my hand at this meme later tonight.

You know I had to WORK to get mine written, and these fell off your fingers with ease. N i c e. I have to agree--while the first conveys "mood", the second one is "how" I think about the season.

Well done (& I'll check out your new meme...just not sure when I'll get it :) ).

I really like the first one - I suppose because that is how I view Fall myself.

I see we both have a thing for fall colors. :) I like it, I like it a lot! :)

I actually love the first one! My favorite season is autumn, and for me it's beauty and new beginnings. But I do love to be jolted out of complacency, and your first one does that for me!

Great job!
